Dates Shall Come Again tells the story of Aviram Morris, a date farmer in Moshav Paran in the Arava. Saba Aviram, charged by the commandment "V’higadeta L’bincha" (You Shall Teach Your Children), shares the stories of the family plantation with his grandchildren. The book illuminates the intergenerational connection and echoes tradition and connection to the land, love of the land, environmental awareness, and sustainable farming methods. Zalman Spivack is a tour guide, lecturer, and Jewish educator who draws inspiration from Israel's history, culture, nature, and landscapes. Zalman was born in the USA and immigrated to Israel with his family when he was seven. He lives in the community of Nofey Prat with his four  children: Amit, Aden, Noam, and Ayellet-Chen.

זַלְמַן סְפִּיבַק הוּא מוֹרֵה דֶּרֶךְ, מְחַנֵּךְ וּמַרְצֶה, שֶׁשּׁוֹאֵב הַשְׁרָאָה מִן הַהִיסְטוֹרְיָה וְהַתַּרְבּוּת, מֵהַטֶּבַע וּמִנּוֹפֵי הָאָרֶץ. זַלְמַן נוֹלַד בְּאַרְצוֹת הַבְּרִית וְעָלָה לְיִשְׂרָאֵל עִם מִשְׁפַּחְתּוֹ בְּגִיל שֶׁבַע. הוּא מִתְגּוֹרֵר בַּיִּשּׁוּב נוֹפֵי פְּרָת עִם אַרְבַּעַת יְלָדָיו: עָמִית, עֵדֶן, נוֹעַם וְאַיֶילֶת-חֵן.
